Little Dane Court

A wonderful overnight stay at Little Dane Court, while visiting the local vineyard. Rod was very hospitable, facilities were excellent, breakfast was plentiful and the property was characterful with stunning gardens and easy off road parking. Situated in close walking distance to Tenterden High Street, bars and restaurants. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you from Nina and David.

What a wonderful charming place! I stayed 2 nights. Rod was such a great host and cook! I didn't realize breakfast was included (nice surprise) and had the best eggs and toast I have ever had! The shower had great water pressure and got nice and hot! There was even a small hand towel. Many places where I stayed in the UK only had big towels but I like to use hand towels to shower up. There are plenty of shops in town from restaurants, home decor stores and a couple of grocery stores. If you like to run, there is a foot path that goes for about 3 miles so I just did an out and back. Rod did provide another route but I missed the turn off so I probably could have gone further. Also, if you have a love for BIG cats (tigers, leopards, etc), there is the Big Cat Sanctuary about 20 min away but you need to book a tour as it is not open to the public. I would definitely stay here again!

Really lovely place, the Oriental themes are a nice touch and not overdone. Bonsai trees in the garden are beautiful. Popped in very quickly for just the one night, wish we had time to stay a little longer and explore the area. Thanks Rod for the hospitality.

This is a lovely, friendly, clean hotel, with comfortable beds and all the facilities you need. Being an old building there are some fascinating nooks and crannies to investigate. We had a large bathroom with a shower and bath, and a dressing room! Even though the hotel is on the main road, we were amazed how quiet it was during the night and in the morning. The service from the owner was fantastic, he could not do enough for us. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

What a wonderful find!! Rod was a consummate host, the room was clean, pleasant, and the bed was supremely comfortable - better sleep than we got in either London or York hotels that cost more! We were in Kent for winery tours & tastings, and Tenterden made a fantastic "home base" for us. If you fancy a stay in the South Downs, highly recommend you choose Little Dane Court!

We stayed here with our daughter and son in law as we were booked onto the Tenterden Pullman for a celebratory dinner. Rod made us so welcome. The rooms were we’ll set up with tea/coffee, bathroom toiletries and beautifully decorated rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast (full English) was perfect with fresh coffee, fruit juices, toast and marmalades etc. nothing was too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this B&B and come back again. We had a lovely stay at Little Dane whilst visiting the wine regions. Rod was friendly and very helpful with local suggestions for places to visit, especially less busy alternatives to the ones we were thinking of! The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. The location of the guesthouse was very convenient, both for Tenterden (lots of lovely interesting shops) and places for drinks and dinner, but also only a couple of miles from Chapel Down and about 6 miles to Gusbourne. Rye was about 20 mins away.

My husband and I were delighted with our stay (7 nights) at Little Dane Court. Rod was charming and gave us expert advice on visiting local sites, including restaurants and parking. We also enjoyed the hearty breakfast, served in a lovely, spacious room. Our room with twin beds was a bit tight for us, with no desk. But we enjoyed staying in this historic home.
